Description

African Red-Slip was produced in the region of modern Tunisia from the first into the seventh century AD. It is common on sites around the Mediterranean from the 2nd to 5th centuries, though its regular frquent appearance on eastern sites comes after the mid-3rd cenutry. After 500, ARS becomes steadily less common in many regions.
